Why: Because Michelle is one of Washington's most powerful spoken word poets and youth empowerment workers. Michelle has garnered awards for her work, and recently published "Growing up Girl," an anthology of voices from marginilized spaces. In addition, she is an amazing instructor and has dedicated her life to improving young women's lives.
Etc: We will also have snacks, team building and drumming as part of tomorrow's activities.
